      I am very excited to blog this wedding and share it with the world and potential clients.  This is by far one of my favorite weddings of not only 2011, but as my entire career as a Wedding DJ.  Of course a bit of that has to do with the fact that Oleg and Thao wanted many of my lighting upgrades--this is not only fun for me because obviously I enjoy this stuff, but it also makes for some amazing photos and Jenny Thai did an absolutely amazing job at capturing some.

Danny and Lora came to find my services from Danny's cousin, Esteban.  I DJ'd Esteban and Geneva's wedding last year in the same room, for many of the same people!  While jokes insued throughout the evening between myself and Esteban about the contest between the two weddings, I'd say that there is no contest.  They were both energetic, with a fun crowd.  Tons of dancing, tons of different kinds of dance music all the way until midnight or later.  I am grateful to have DJ'd both of these weddings for such a fun crowd!

Justin and Georgia came to find my services through a personal referral from another DJ.  We met in Grossmont Center and talked about their itinerary details and music selections.  Their ceremony would be located up on the hill by the house, overlooking the rest of the property, whereas the rest of the reception was down in the larger yard area, where there were lights draped across the lawn.  Skyline Ranch weddings, also known as Backyard Weddings in Jamul was the venue for their ceremony and reception.  I had never worked at this venue and had never even been to Jamul, so there were some new experiences to be had by all.

Oceanside Heritage Park Wedding: Travis and Jessica
Once a year or so, I get the opportunity to DJ for long time friends.  I am always a fan of these weddings.  Nostalgia, low stress and most importantly I get to make sure that a DJ with lots of experience and enthusiasm (myself) makes my friends wedding all that it can be.  Working with Travis and Jessica was awesome.  Not only did I get to know Jessica a bit more, I got to reconnect with so many friends that I haven't seen in a while.  Travis, Josh, Joe, Ashleigh, Mike... the list goes on.  Everytime I see these guys, I ask myself... "Why don't we hang out more?".  I hope they ask themselves the same thing, when they run into me.

Alexis and Michael came to find my services from yet another referral from Mary Braun, who hired me for her daughters wedding a few years back.  Thanks again Mary, for all of your kind referrals.  When I originally met with Alexis and her parents, we talked a lot about music, dancing, atmosphere and many other wedding planning fundamentals.  Alexis had a strong sense as to what she wanted on her wedding day and we were able to formulate some fun events and choose some great music.

Grant and Julie had their wedding reception at The Brigantine Restaurant in Del Mar California.  It was a warm summer night in June, with the Del Mar Fair as the backdrop.  The Brigantine in Del Mar has been a very popular seafood spot in San Diego for many years, and for good reason.  They have great food, a beautiful backdrop with open fields leading up to the fairgrounds, and just steps away from Dog Beach, Solana Beach and downtown Del Mar.

Jared and Katherine came to find my services via an internet search in 2010, nearly a year before their wedding.  I was happy to get to finally work a wedding at L'auberge Del Mar as I had heard so many good things about it, but hadn't had the opportunity to DJ a wedding there.  It was an absolutely beautiful wedding, from the ceremony to the reception.  Jared and Katherine were such nice people and a pleasure to work with.  It was truly an honor to be a part of their wedding.

The Marina Village in San Diego, near Sea World is a large facility that is home to an assortment of banquet rooms.  Every weekend nearly every one of these buildings is full with Wedding receptions, hinting of just how popular of a venue Marina Village really is in San Diego.  Meredith and Michael planned an unforgettable evening for their family and friends.  It was an evening filled with fun, laughter and most importantly, love.

The Crosby is located in Rancho Santa Fe, San Diego, California.  Surrounded by large estates, golf courses, resorts, beautiful views and winding roads, The Crosby is one of San Diego's most elegant Wedding Venues.  Tom and Jamie came to find my services via search engines.  We discussed details leading up their wedding concerning the wedding ceremony, reception, dance lighting and uplighting.  There was no wedding coordinator other than the onsite; Tom and Jamie did an outstanding job creating a beautiful event for their guests.

Lily and Hunter came to hire my services, via the mother of the bride Syndy.  Being that Lily and Hunter are an Airforce couple currently residing in Las Vegas, there was a lot of planning that Syndy had to take care of for them.  I'd have to say that Syndy did an outstanding job hiring great wedding vendors, and transforming the unlikely wedding venue: El Corazon Senior Center, into a beautiful and unique wedding ceremony and reception location!
